Samantha was home alone when she began to feel sick to her stomach. Her stomach had been hurting before, but it wasn’t critical, it was tolerable, and now she felt sick and nauseous, and her forehead was covered with sweat. Frightened, she called her husband, who was at work. He was very busy, an important meeting with his boss was coming up, and he told Samantha to just drink tea and go to bed. Her sister advised the same thing, not thinking it was serious, and Samantha was getting worse. The idea of calling an ambulance came up, but I was too scared to go alone. Then there was one person who unconditionally agreed to support her – her mother.
Kate quit her job and rushed across town to the hospital where her daughter had been taken. She was very worried, scolded her son-in-law all the way, that he was not so serious, and for good reason – Samantha’s appendix was inflamed and had to be removed urgently.
My mother never left the operating room, and then her daughter’s hospital bed. She was the first and only one that Samantha saw. Her soul immediately felt calm, nothing hurt, and her mother squeezed her hand tightly.
– Mommy, thank you for coming,” Samantha thanked with tears in her eyes.
– You’re my daughter, I gave you life, and I’m very worried about her, – answered her mother, stroking the girl’s hair. – Your husband is a separate topic, but you can always rely on me. I’ll come from anywhere in the world and hold your hand, honey.
