Her retired grandmother decided to move to the countryside, so that her daughter could save on rented accommodation. And her aunt climbed out on her head and dangled her feet, – says Anna. She told a sad story about how greedy people can be. The worst thing is that the people closest to them can act in such a vile way.
“My aunt lived in rental housing all her life. Her mother, my beloved grandmother, decided to move to the countryside to make life easier for her daughter. My aunt has lived in my grandmother’s apartment ever since. My grandmother gave up banking services and didn’t even want her pension to be delivered by letter carriers. She herself could no longer go to town to get her pension, so she wrote a power of attorney in my name.
Every month for a year I took money to my grandmother with all the receipts and documents. When I first saw the size of the pension payments, I added my savings. Later, I decided to casually deposit money from myself in an envelope.
My grandmother didn’t know how much money she was counting, because she didn’t look at the papers. She thought that her pension had been raised. Her aunt became interested in the fact that Grandma’s pension had been raised sharply. Her daughter had just bought a car, and my grandmother decided that it was better to ask her to bring my pension by car, than for me to take the bus.
After that, I called my aunt’s daughter and informed me that in her name was drawn up power of attorney with the words, they say, that I will not get more money from my grandmother steal. Somehow, my beloved aunt convinced my grandmother that she was underpaid and I was stealing money from her.
I still get angry when I think about it. Okay, my aunt, she was never known for her honesty and integrity. But how could my grandmother believe this nonsense? After this incident, I stopped taking calls from relatives, except for my mother.
“Later my mother told me that my grandmother evicted my aunt from her apartment and moved to the city herself. All because the aunt looked at the payments and realized that grandma was getting pennies. Then she gave herself away by refusing to drive her luxurious car around and waste gasoline.
So the grandmother evicted the ungrateful daughter from her apartment. Only now my aunt is blaming me for her troubles. What have I got to do with it? She lied to me and was counting on my grandmother’s money. So she got what she deserved. It’s karma, pure and simple. Serves her right. Grandma decided she’d rather let the letter carrier bring the money than have another misunderstanding in the family. And grandma crossed her aunt out of her will.
Maybe karma does exist after all. Greed ruins people. Unfortunately, if parents didn’t take care of their child’s upbringing when he was a child, fate will teach him a lesson. What the aunt did was despicable, it’s even more horrible to realize that relatives can do this to each other. For the sake of money. If you have children, teach them to respect adults, teach them human values, so they don’t grow up to be savages.
