I was invited to a birthday party by my friend Sarah. I was very happy about it. After all, I was sure that for Sarah’s birthday there would be a big delicious cake and lots of candy. I was looking forward to my friend’s birthday. I bought her a very beautiful set of cosmetics as a gift.
Of course, I wasn’t the only invited guest. Sara invited a lot of our classmates to her birthday party. We gave Sarah our gifts, and then we were invited to the table. But there were only two pitchers of juice on the table. And that was it! We drank the juice, sat and played. But everyone was very hungry. Then Sarah left for the kitchen.
We thought she was finally going to bring us food. But Sarah only brought herself a plate of sandwiches. She sat down and ate them herself. We really hoped there would at least be cake, but there was no cake either. We played for a little while and all went home because we were very hungry.
