What a mother-in-law I have! My mother-in-law is truly a unique woman! She used to only give me advice, I agreed with her, but I still did what I thought was right. And everything was fine. But for the last two years my mother-in-law has been acting just awful.
She comes in at all hours and gets in everywhere. She even goes through all the closets, checking to see if her son has clean clothes. Also she constantly checks our medicine cabinet: whether there are any expired drugs. And just recently she picked up and threw away my nasal drops. For some reason she thought they had expired. When in fact they were not.
Also, my mother-in-law constantly rearranges the dishes in the kitchen as she sees fit. At the same time, she never washes a plate or a cup after herself. She says she doesn’t feel well enough to wash the dishes after herself. But she has more than enough energy to make a check of the whole apartment.
And one day my mother-in-law took off her laundry after washing and put it in her drawers. And then she found out that the laundry hadn’t dried all the way through, and it stunk. I then had to rewash everything.
My mother-in-law also checks the dirty laundry basket for some reason. She pulls out the laundry and washes her son’s underwear and socks. Is this normal? But what happened a few days ago is beyond me! Here’s what happened. I have beautiful fishnet stockings. I wear them when my husband and I make love. We like it very much.
But as it happens, I accidentally tore one of them. Of course, I got a little upset and threw those stockings in the trash. So when I came home from work the next day, I was frozen in amazement at the kitchen doorstep. My mother-in-law took my torn stockings out of the trash, sewed up the hole, and put them on This is what this woman has come to! She’s going through trash cans! I just don’t know how I can fight her.
I have to put up with her. I don’t know what my mother-in-law will do next time. I’m afraid to even imagine it. But I can’t forbid her to come to our house.
