We bought my father’s sister’s dacha, but she still sneaks in and runs the place.

The impudence of some people simply knows no limits. They bought her dacha from my father’s sister, they gave her money, but she still comes and runs the place and thinks that she is right. If I had known, I never would have bought the dacha.

My husband and I have been looking for a dacha for a long time, but since the pandemic started, its prices have risen quite inadequately. For such money, you can buy a house or everything is very sad there – a small area, a ramshackle barn and weeds up to our necks. Suitable option was looking for a long time, but we were only frustrated. Even have already spat on this case.

My dad has a sister, my aunt. I never had much contact with her, my father only called her on some holidays. Her character is such that it is impossible to communicate with her for a long time, she is an energy vampire, she can blow up a scandal on the spot.

My grandmother had an anniversary, all my relatives were there, of course, this aunt was also there. We got to talking about the dachas, the crops, feeding, and so on. I mentioned that it had been a long time since we could find a decent dacha. The prices are too high, or it is in the middle of nowhere, or the land is such that one needs to invest a lot of money at once.

My aunt started a conversation saying that she has a dacha, but she does not go there anymore, because she is tired and bored. She inherited the dacha from her late husband, he was a gardener, but her aunt no longer has such an urge. She complained that she hardly ever used her dacha, but she always had to give money for something, her friends in the neighborhood were very active, they were improving and doing something.

My aunt had been thinking of selling it for a long time, but she just couldn’t bring herself to do it. You have to go there, take pictures, write an ad, then communicate with buyers, go to show them, and still not the fact that they will buy. In general, the idea so far and remained an idea, and here we are so luckily turned up.

I was interested in this proposal. From the stories of aunt appears that the area is a decent size, it has a brick house, it has electricity and water. And it is not too far away, especially we have a car. We agreed to go there in a week to see how it is.

We liked the dacha very much, there is nothing to say. The house is strong, sound, though it required some cosmetic repairs, but it is in perfect condition. There are three apple-trees, plum-trees, all fruit-bearing, currant bushes, something else is planted, even a hothouse in a normal condition was preserved, a little update and you can use it.

We agreed with an aunt in the price, concluded a contract, all redone. It was in May. All the May we spent at the dacha, put things in order, repaired some small things. We hadn’t planned to plant anything new this year, we just wanted to tidy up the place. Then there was a work stoppage and we didn’t go for about a month.

When we arrived, I could not get rid of the feeling that there was someone on the property and in the house. I do not remember specifically where everything was standing, lying and hanging, but it seems that everything was rearranged, and everything. But nothing is missing, and there was nothing of value.

This year the plum came out, and I generally love all kinds of fruits and berries. I have already thought of how I will make my own compotes, jam. I think, let them ripen for a week, get into the juice, and then we’ll come and collect them. A week later, someone helped us and ripped off the plums. It was a real shame.

Of course, we have a fence, but it is not a problem to climb over it if you want. We blamed it on the neighbor kids. I could not imagine that the older, respectable neighbors would go after our plum. They have their own. With the neighbors we have not yet had time to get acquainted well.

But I decided to see if they had seen who was climbing on our property. Some neighbors have not seen anything, they themselves rarely go, and another neighbor said that the owner came and shook the plum. I explained that we were the owners of the land, and she said – no, there was another woman in her age. According to the description, it turned out that it was an aunt who came.

I was surprised, I called the aunt, explained the situation, but she swore that nothing of the sort had happened, and the neighbor’s head was spinning. It was weird, of course, unpleasant, but what can you do?

I had a week off last week and decided to spend it at the cottage. My husband promised to visit me as much as possible. Two days went fine, and on the third I had a surprise visit from my aunt.

I slept in the house in the morning, the door was locked from the outside, my husband had locked it when he left. I heard the door open, the lock clicked loudly. I thought my husband had come back and forgotten something. But my aunt came into the house, looked around like a housewife, and threw her bag. I’m in the room at the door and I can not understand what is happening, some kind of stupor attacked sleep.

The aunt quickly changed her clothes and went to the station. Started collecting apples in bags. I was so outraged. I went out, said hello, watching her reaction. She was embarrassed, but quickly came to herself, continued to gather apples, as if nothing had happened.

It freaked me out, of course. This is our property, we paid money for it, why is she running the place? She answered me – are you sorry? Turns out she robbed the plums, too. She said they’re hanging there unnecessary, why should they go to waste. She used to come here often, she had keys, and we didn’t change the locks of the gate or the door.

I drove her from the site, because one thing if she asked permission and came for the same plum, and another when she came here the most brazen way to the hostess. The same evening her husband came and changed the locks.

So my aunt even guessed to call my father and yablestat that he raised me greedy and rude, that I drove her away. Tell me, is the man even in his mind? I hope that after changing the locks, she won’t show up on the property again.
