I am 70, have three sons and grandchildren. All my life I wanted a daughter, and then life surprised me.

I recently turned 70. My wife, as it happened, didn’t make it to her birthday, she passed away. On the day of the celebration, I was surrounded by my sons – I have three of them – their wives and grandchildren. All my life I wanted a daughter, now I ask my children for a granddaughter. They promise. The next day, in the morning, I went to the cemetery to visit my dead wife. There I met my old friend’s wife. It turned out that my friend had also passed away recently. We got to talking, remembered our youth. We sat down in a cafe, and she started asking me.

-And you used to date a Moldovan woman. Why didn’t things work out then? -Yes, the time was different. Her parents wanted a Moldavian as a husband for their daughter, and I’m a Tatar. -Are you in touch with your daughter? -What daughter? -Yes, what daughter? Your daughter’s name is Mara. Your girlfriend, when she found out she was pregnant, her parents sent her to the village. She found out you married someone else and didn’t tell you anything. I rushed home then, I didn’t know how to tell my children, I thought they would judge me for wanting to find my daughter.

But the children supported me, said they had always dreamed of having a sister. We started looking for her. It turned out that my Moldovan girl lives in Russia. The search became easier, it was easier for us to look, we knew their names and surnames. I was ill at the time, I was sick. I thought I was going to make it. A week later I woke up in my room, a man was lying next to me -You did good, you did it. -I had to, I’m looking for my daughter. Everybody’s waiting for me at home. -I noticed your gypsy camp can’t be dispersed here. The doctors are already swearing that your relatives are gathering under the window every day. By the way, they’re there now.

The man helped me to the window. My children, their wives, my grandchildren, an old woman and her daughter were standing under the window, and there was a little black-haired beautiful girl running around. -Man, that’s my granddaughter!!! I have a granddaughter!!!
