When Nádia Rosângella stopped to look at a nativity set up in a square in Inhuma, Piauí, she was surprised by a different Jesus. In place of the manger was a sleeping puppy. Although it wasn’t Jesus, it looked like an angel.
“I was surprised – it was so beautiful!” said Rosângella. “Such a beautiful and pure scene.”
Touched, but unable to take him home, Nádia took some photos of the sleeping puppy very well and shared with friends and acquaintances the search for a home for him. Fortunately, a friend of Nadia’s went to the square, found the puppy still in the same place and took him home. Unassuming, the puppy chose the simple place to rest and ended up with a new home.
“I feel happy and at peace knowing that he’s okay,” , Rosângella said. “I love animals very much and wish the same for everyone.”
What better Christmas could he and his family have imagined, right? Why should we adopt a stray dog?
Animals have the power to make our lives more joyful and fun. How many laughs they get out of us when they do something wrong, the daily walks that take us to new places and people, or the daily routine of caring and feeding that we would no longer know how to live without. Many stray dogs are unaware of this reality. When you adopt a stray dog, you are giving it more than just living space; you are making all your difficulties disappear. This dog will love you even more for making your life better. Adopting is an act of love!
