I shopped at the store and went to the register. The cashier wasn’t there, so I decided to take another walk down the grocery aisle. I arrived 15 minutes later, and there was already a line gathered. The first one was a woman with three children: two of them were very young, and the third looked about four years old. The poor mother with many children was holding heavy packages in her hands, watching her restless son and talking on the phone with her husband, trying to explain what store they were in.
People pounced on the saleswoman, who ran out of the back room and began buttoning her blouse. She was not alone, but in the company of a man. This impertinent man stepped in front of the queue.
– We’ve been standing here for 20 minutes. I’m sorry, but I won’t let you through, – said the mother to the man.
And then she turned to the saleswoman:
– If you have friends coming over now, will you start serving them first, too?
The saleswoman was furious! Rushed at the young mother and began to swear at her. She said she does not know how to protect herself, has had children, and is playing the heroine mother.
– And the children are from different fathers. They don’t resemble each other at all. Are you going to teach me more about life? – She yelled at the customer.
Here came the husband of a mother with many children to protect his wife. And what do you think – he recognized the saleswoman.
– Oh, you’re the wife of our electrician! Does he know you’re in the back rooms with men?
I do not know whether he lied or not, but the salesgirl immediately calmed down. I have no idea what happened next, but she never spoke again.
