Last month we finally had a grandchild. We were flying in the clouds with happiness and were really looking forward to the day when we could visit the baby. But we are not welcome. My sister-in-law openly shows her displeasure. We’ve brought gifts, presents, given money, and she still freaks out at the sight of us. So is my sister-in-law.
I am offended, because I am just like a grandmother. My daughter-in-law was rude to me and my daughter, even though Katya just wanted to give her valuable advice. Katya has three children, so she already had experience. Not only that, she returned half of the gifts. You see, a newborn baby does not need plush toys. But he will grow up, then everything will be useful, why do so?
When we came to visit, we were not even offered coffee. My son kept silent and lowered his eyes – he is not the boss in this house. I drove home and cried, because I didn’t expect such a reception.
Since then I only see photos of my grandson, they don’t allow me to come over. I call my children to me, but my daughter-in-law doesn’t want to go. I asked my son to come to the park with a baby carriage, but he couldn’t. My daughter-in-law controls my son every step and will not let him go.
My daughter-in-law put her grandson on formula feeding so she would not have to put herself out. She thinks that we will judge her, so she does not want to meet. But I don’t care! Just as long as I get to see my granddaughter. I’m not going to rebuke her, because every mother does things differently.
My daughter-in-law and I used to have a good relationship, just like her parents. But after my grandson was born, it was like she was replaced! I didn’t hurt her in any way, so why did she change her attitude toward me? My girlfriends are surprised, how come there is a grandson, but I do not see him.
My mother registered the apartment in my name. I wanted to sell it and divide the money between my son and daughter. But in light of recent events my husband is against it. He says it’s better to rent to tenants than to help such ungrateful children. Apparently he is right, because at an old age there will be no one to take care of us. Alas.
