Melissa was only thirty-something years old, and she looked so tired it was terrifying. And all because the poor woman was constantly looking for ways to survive for her family. She had to support three people – herself, her small daughter and her husband.
When she met Adam, she was sure that she would be like a stone wall with this man. He kept telling her how he would shoot stars from the sky for his wife and how he would build a “castle” for her. Yes, yes, if all those words and were confirmed by actions. In fact everything turned out very bleak.
Adam constantly had problems with his work – too little money, too few orders. Or he had a pain and could not work. Then the man brought miserable money home. What was left for Melissa! She decided to take the role of the breadwinner. All the same, she constantly tried to be understanding with her husband. She always supported him and told him how much she believed in him. He was only able to spread his ears and moan about how good he was lying on the sofa.
After a while Melissa gave birth to a baby girl. She had more worries – after all it is not particularly easy to support a child, it takes a lot of money. She is the only one working in the family and there is barely enough money to live from paycheck to paycheck.
The situation was so difficult that Melissa had not to sit on maternity leave, and go to work, also for two jobs.
Adam, on the other hand, was constantly whining about his grief and saying it was very hard for him. He started drinking, and the money Melissa was earning, sitting around with friends, drinking it away. In the end, Melissa couldn’t take it all and divorced. And who needed it – to endure so many years?! For what?!
