If there’s one thing that can make anyone’s day, it’s videos of children interacting with animals, and one such video went viral on Facebook, it’s the video of a 1-year-old girl calming her dog who is afraid of thunder. Melina’s mother and Theodoro’s guardian, Joyce Basilio, posted the video on her Facebook profile. In the images, the golden retriever is sitting in a corner, crestfallen and scared. Meanwhile, the little girl tries to talk to him, in her own baby language, and hugs him to calm him down.

“My 1-year-old daughter talking to her dog , in her language! Now tell me: how not to love them both? When I got pregnant, many people asked me if I was going to donate Theodoro… and here’s the answer! “, Joyce wrote in the caption. On the day of the video, Joyce said Theodoro was afraid of thunder and ran out onto the porch. “When the rain passed, he stayed there. She went there to talk to him in her own way. My husband recorded it for me to watch her hug him and hold him ! ”

According to the woman, since Melina was born, the family prevented Theodoro from staying. “The contact was always very respectful and I started to put them together when she was a little older,” she says. She says that from day one, the dog only sleeps in the baby’s room .

“Only after he goes to bed with her does he go to our room. When she was about three months old, I let Theodoro climb on my bed … and she was already smarter, I kept watching her movements, when he came closer, when he sniffed her … so cute the two of them! Theodoro lives inside my house, even though he is a big dog, he was not used to be on the balcony! So this contact between the two was inevitable, especially when he started to crawl, “recalls Joyce. In addition, the woman says that Melina always reacted when she saw the dog, so much so that her first word was “thé”, while pointing at Theodoro.
