I do not know why, but I remembered the events of those days and I really wanted to share my life story with someone. Maybe for those who are in doubt, it will be a great life example and help make the right choice.
I married, when I was barely twenty-two years old, to a girl who already had a two-year-old daughter. To be more specific, they took me into their family.
I immediately wanted to adopt her little girl, since she didn’t have a father on her birth certificate, but my wife was against it. She told me not to rush things. I was a little puzzled by this, but I didn’t argue.
My wife’s story is banal: she was young and naive, she fell in love with a guy, and as soon as the guy found out about her pregnancy he immediately disappeared. I considered my daughter my own from day one, I may not have had a blood relationship with her, but she was always my own and my favorite.
Six months after the wedding my wife gave me a son. I had everything to make me feel happy. We didn’t luxuriate, but we didn’t poor either. At the time I thought my happiness was complete, but it turned out that God loved me more than I thought, so two years after giving birth to my son, my wife gave me a daughter. At that moment I was ready to scream to the world how happy I was!
At the time, our oldest girl was six. She was a very affectionate child with us, she started calling me Daddy from the moment we met, I later found out that she thought I was her birth father.
From time to time I would talk to my wife about adopting her, but my wife would always tell me with one phrase: “You don’t have to rush things. And then, before our little girl had to go to first grade wife suddenly asked herself, they say I have not changed my mind to adopt her daughter. I said that it was my dream and it was time to do it.
We gathered all the necessary documents, and everything was done. I was over the moon, now all three children were officially mine. Only after that my wife told me that she was very afraid that after we had children together I would change my attitude toward her child. I almost lost my temper, though I really wanted to. And then I thought about the fact that if she had already faced betrayal, it is unlikely she would be able to quickly believe.
Since that day a lot of water has flowed. Now our oldest daughter is nineteen. Our oldest daughter has grown up to be a very smart and diligent girl. I always considered her my pride. Now my wife and I are saving up money and are planning to buy a house of our own for her in the city. We want to believe that we will be able to surprise her on her twentieth birthday. But that is not what I wanted to tell you.
One day our daughter came for a weekend. It was evening, both my girls, about something secret in the kitchen. Suddenly I heard them talking. My daughter was telling my wife that she was at the bus stop to meet and see off a man. He was just standing there looking at her from a distance.
I instantly jumped up from the couch. So some grimace is stalking my child, and I rest my sides. She’s a real beauty, and there are so many fools and perverts out there now that I can’t count them all. On Monday, I took a couple of hours off work and decided to follow my daughter and watch this creep.
As soon as I saw him, I knew it was my daughter’s birth father, because they looked like two peas in a pod. I don’t even know how my daughter didn’t notice that. I wanted to put my daughter on the bus and then talk to this unfortunate father. But by the time we said goodbye to her, he was long gone.
My wife and I lived the next week as if we were in hell. When I went to pick up my daughter on Friday night, the creep never showed up. And in the evening this mistake of nature showed up herself: “Good evening, daughter, I’m your daddy!” Now that she doesn’t have to get up at night to change her pants, Daddy showed up. Here I am as a father! Please, love and love!
My daughter and his wife almost fainted, and I only dreamed of kicking his face. However…
My daughter asked me at this point: “Daddy, is it true what they say, that I’m not related to you?” The only thing I told her was, “I am your kin, even if not by blood!” My daughter came up and hugged me with her two arms like a little girl and whispered: “Daddy, you’re my daddy, and I don’t want no other!”
I only cried like that once in my life, at my father’s funeral. At that moment I realized that it didn’t matter whose blood was in my daughter, she was my daughter and I wouldn’t give her up. We kicked the father out of the door, because our daughter wouldn’t even talk to him. After that we lived our peaceful life again.
Why did I tell you all this, so that some people realize that there is nothing wrong with marrying a woman with a child, because every baby needs a father, a strong fatherly shoulder nearby!
