How to achieve independence in children

What a sin, often adults, in order to save time, or just from a lack of patience, do for their children a lot of things that children must do themselves. Parents think that they will do it better and faster. Yes, this is true, but how useful is it to the child? The answer lies on the surface – not useful at all!

Let the baby spill milk or fruit, trying to get into the glass, let him break a plate when he will wipe it, or scratch your favorite cup, it’s all – nothing compared to the fact that a child will feel your confidence in him, feel independence.

Parents need to support your child’s every desire to do something. Children really like to repeat after adults, to participate in adult activities, so you can not dismiss the help of a child, just because you are in a hurry. Show him how to do what he is interested in the kid, help if you need to. Show maximum patience and leniency for mistakes, do not focus on them. Ideally, every new activity should look like a fun game.

In order for lessons with a child to be as effective as possible, make everything simplified, not diving into the nuances and details, allow the child to be creative and come up with something of their own. If after some time you are doing the same work again, and you see that the child has forgotten the algorithm of actions, patiently tell him or her how and what to do. Simultaneously do your part of the work, so that the child could observe you and strive to do as his father or mother.

Do not overwork the baby long monotonous manipulation. Lighten up the atmosphere with a joke, a song, fool around or be distracted by something interesting. In addition, it is important not to physically overtire the children, so that any activity is within their power.

Children brought up in such an atmosphere will never be lost in adulthood, they will make bold decisions, not rest on their laurels, and strive to move forward.
