My acquaintance is 45 years old. And she no longer hosts guests in her home

Some people forget that they are guests. They’re rude, they give directions, and they don’t rush home.

I used to be a very hospitable person, but I soon changed my attitude. When I crossed the forty-year mark, I stopped inviting guests. What did I need it for? It’s nerve-racking to have such visitors.

My last anniversary I celebrated in a restaurant. I really liked it – now I’ll do it all the time. Now I will try to explain why.

It’s expensive to have a dinner party at home. To cover an ordinary dinner, you need to lay out about 5,000 rubles. And if you are preparing for a holiday get-together, this amount can be multiplied several times. Only the guests come with modest gifts, times are tough after all. Then even begin to command and clamor until late at night. I want to rest, not to wash a mountain of dishes and clean up.

I don’t wait for anyone within the walls of my apartment. I clean and cook when I want to. After the holiday meals at home, I used to feel tired and depressed. Now I have time after the holidays to take a bath and go to bed early.

I have a lot of free time, and I use it wisely. My friends can drop by for tea, but I’m not worried that I don’t have any treats. Now I express my thoughts freely and I’m not shy. If I want to rest, I point to the exit. It may not look nice, but I don’t care. I put my comfort first.

The most amazing thing is that people who go out never invite guests over. It’s easier for them to fill up and have fun on someone else’s property without wasting time cleaning and cooking.

Do you host guests? Can you call yourself a hospitable person?
