Is it worth holding on and trying to save the marriage? Spouse wants a divorce and I don’t want to live alone

Apparently there comes a point in everyone’s life when everything in life changes. I got married at the age of 23. I had just graduated from university, expected a great career as a doctor, and believed I had everything ahead of me.

But then love got in the way, strong love for a man, which I just could not cope with. William was an old acquaintance, but we hadn’t seen each other in a long time. And then literally a chance meeting at a friend’s birthday party, and feelings so turned my head that I could not think anymore. A couple of months later we got married, I was the happiest wife in the world.

William is a very jealous man, so he immediately said that he was against my working. Like, I will sit at home and take care of everyday life, and raise a child. I agreed, because love is above all. And so I became a happy housewife.

From morning till night cleaning, washing, ironing, taking care of my husband. Two years after we married, I gave birth to a son, and then I took care of him. My husband was on the road all the time for work. I thought we were doing well and would always be like that.

But after five years of such a life spouse told me that I bored him and became uninteresting, and also launched itself. Now he wants a divorce, because it is six months in a relationship with a young, beautiful and well-groomed woman.

And I do not want a divorce. For the sake of it I gave up my whole life, my career. And I do not want to live alone. Who needs a woman who realized nothing, and even with a child. In short, I want to keep my husband, but how?
