To be honest, I don’t know at all how I should go on. I can’t stand it either, and I can’t take it out on my mother-in-law and husband either. Not how I was taught, but I am terribly tired of the current situation.
Here’s the thing – my husband and I have been married for seven years, and all this time the family is mostly supported by me. That is, we live at my place, in an apartment that I bought at my own expense before the marriage. I buy the groceries and I also pay for the utilities. What does my husband spend money on? He gives more than half of his salary to his mother and sister – they need it more, you know.
My mother-in-law’s a lady from Amsterdam. She loves expensive clothes, perfume, holidays abroad and foie gras for breakfast. All this is paid for by her husband – she doesn’t work.
Her husband’s sister is the same as her mother. She has never worked in her life, has been married three times and lived off men. She gave birth to three children from different men and is constantly waiting for money from my husband.
And here I don’t understand, it turns out that everyone lives at my expense. Why do I have to support a grown man? Somehow I was talking to my husband, and he was going on and on about his own thing – my mom needs it, my sister needs it. And I don’t have to? I can’t afford anything at all, because everything goes to subsistence and utilities. I’m tired.
