Why should I ask her for help? It’s the socializing of my mother-in-law that’s bothering me. I’d rather do it myself.

This is my second time with my husband. Yes, as it happens, life has rewarded me with two mothers-in-law at once. With my first mother-in-law, everything seemed to work out. A polite, nice woman. We somehow immediately found common ground. I had a particular disagreement with her husband, on whom she was very dependent. And the quarrel came out all because I decided to keep my last name.

Coming out of maternity leave, I asked her to babysit my granddaughter, who at the time of this story was only two years old. Money in the family at the time we are oh how lacking. And because of this I quickly found a job.

Somehow I just lucked out. The office where I got a job was right across the alley from our house. Plus, I had been working remotely at my computer for about a year. And it turns out that the office is already a second job.

It was freezing outside in January, and my mother-in-law came to our house to babysit our granddaughter. But something went wrong and grandma was only enough for two months. And then in early March, she suddenly decided that we see her badly congratulated and sit with the child, she just did not come. She got mad or something.

Quite strange, because my husband and I bought gifts, flowers and a delicious cake. We thought we would all come and drink tea together and celebrate. But my mom wasn’t at home – she went to her girlfriend. We, of course, waited for her for an hour, and then packed and left – we had our own pressing matters.

We gave the presents to my father and left. And a couple of days later we got a call with indignation, why we did not wait for her.

So she was offended. Well, what can you do – be offended.

After that, we were left with the question of who would babysit the baby. But then suddenly came to visit my brother, whom I successfully banned in the role of babysitter. Anyway, somehow, through joint efforts, we made it until the child went to day care. Perhaps then, all with a sigh of relief.

And my mother-in-law was still waiting for me to finally exhaust myself and come to ask her for help. But it did not happen. Why else would I go and grovel, I’m strong myself – I’ll be fine.

This was the case with my first mother-in-law. And with my second mother-in-law, it was about the same story. One day I had to go to the clinic with my second child. My husband was in another city on a business trip at the time.

When we talked to him, he hinted that his mom would also like to somehow participate in the life of his grandson, and it would be nice to invite her to go with him for company – what if it is useful.

As a result, all the help she herself offered – to guard the stroller, which in fact was not really no need. The clinic is new and playground for baby carriages equipped with the latest technology and safety. Then it turned out that she was afraid of the hospital and just wanted to be on the street. So why did she need to come? I might as well have gone myself.

It’s not enough that I had to listen to a stream of complaints. Oh, I do not like this. I absolutely do not need these conversations with his mother-in-law, and so there is time only for the children and work, even to sleep properly rarely comes out.

Heh, now this mother-in-law is offended, after she finally realized how much her social life oppresses me.

Has not called for more than four months. All right. And with this child, I can handle myself. And learn the lessons, and go to the hospital, and generally do everything that only requires of me my maternal duty. And I’m a helper, too. That’s how it is with me, I seem to be a good mother, a good wife, but as a I can’t get used to being a daughter-in-law. My mother-in-law doesn’t like me
