Some believe in karma and some don’t. In any case, the fact remains. What you did to someone once will eventually come back to you. The question is to what extent – it varies. I have always believed that karma exists and that you should treat people the way you would like to be treated.
The case of my relative confirmed this opinion. What happened was that she got pregnant as a teenager, she ended up having to marry this guy. Not a particularly pleasant occurrence at an age when you could still learn about the world and people, was it!
Understandably, such interesting features of life don’t surprise anyone these days. Brides with bellies are a dime a dozen these days. Some end up with a family life, while some eventually separate. The point is that this is not at all strange.
Clearly, all little princesses as a child have a delusion that one day a prince will come on a white horse and take away to Wonderland. Marriage, marriage, love is described as something incredibly desirable and the best thing that can be in life. Who knows, maybe that’s why teenagers are so eager to know the sin of love and the forbidden fruit taste.
And then, when you’ve tasted that forbidden fruit and something goes wrong, you realize that your whole life is ruined by temporary desire and stupidity. But you can’t get anything back. Reality is like that – you have to put up with it, because we live in it.
Anyway, then one of my relatives, being in an interesting situation, still wanted to make a wedding, as it should be, as usual, observing all the traditions, wearing a white dress and buying the groom a beautiful tuxedo. She invited lots of guests to the restaurant – in general, everything in the stream of Russian routine. Her aunt was indignant, saying – “Why are you doing all this! It’s a disgrace that you bring out to all the people. Aren’t you ashamed?!” What do you think, a few years later, at almost the same time of year, my aunt was marrying off her teenage daughter with a huge belly. The law of karma?! You betcha!
