I’ll be honest, I’ve never understood people who are willing to create a relationship, much less a family, if they have a big age difference. To me, the maximum age difference is five years one way and the other. Because that way people are considered of the same generation, they have a lot to talk about, a lot of things they can have in common. But I don’t understand the current fashion for marriages with a big age difference. Men marry girls who are old enough to be their daughters. Women marry men who are old enough to be their grandchildren. What is this outrage? And most importantly, it is unclear what attracts them to each other. Is it some kind of psychological problem or what?
I have a friend, he’s 31 years old and can’t believe it, his wife is only 19. When they got married, Emma was only 18. She’s basically a child. What kind of marriage is she looking for? She should be studying, hanging out with her friends, dating guys her own age. Certainly not to sit at the stove and cook soup and listen to her grown-up husband complain about his job.
Anyway, her reasons for marrying a much older man I never understood. As for my friend, he told me a long time ago. He said that women of his age can never be rehabilitated. They have long formed character, often horribly stubborn, their own opinion, which they are willing to defend even at the cost of relationships and in general with them is not interesting. In the opinion of a friend, women of his age have long lost the taste of life, like to sit at home and grumble then about jealousy about his girlfriends, or about a broken fingernail. You see, young people are much more interesting. Yes, and his young wife, you can bring up under his own. Although so far the friend is not particularly coping with this, I would say.
Emma is an incredible lover of going to clubs, hanging out with her girlfriends. She also has tons of friends of the opposite sex. They go to bed with each other, and one or the other one writes or calls her. I honestly do not understand how a friend tolerates it. Well, what friends of the opposite sex. It’s all clear as day, but the friend stands on its own – it’s just friends of the wife. Well, well, said I once, when Emma was brought home drunk by her friend, who calls her all the time.
Anyway, I don’t believe in all this love beyond age. I think that Emma just benefits from having a friend to support her, spoil her, even do everything around the house. She lives for her own pleasure, she doesn’t feel any disadvantage. Well, his friend is just disappointed in women of his age and, apparently, he had some kind of age crisis. He’s trying to get younger, and he’s not. Do you believe in love beyond age?
