All my life I thought that such headings are visited only by ladies. As practice has shown, I was mistaken. After reading the stories, I made the decision to share my story.
I never considered my family life a fairy tale. But everything was extremely smooth and smooth. There was no reason for dissatisfaction. The thing is, I got married very early – as soon as I got out of the army. And at that time, when my peers were at university, I was already nursing my daughter. I did not have time to get any education, so I had to take any job. I tried to provide everything the family needed so that my beloved girls did not need anything.
I worked as much as I could. In recent years, I was a chauffeur for a rich businessman. So I had to be on call all 24 hours a day. It was a busy schedule. I’d wake up at five in the morning and be back by midnight. My family never saw me at home. I was always steering and steering. After I got home, I could barely make it to the couch, had supper, and went to the shower.
I had practically no energy left to eat. Besides, my spouse didn’t really like to cook. I heard from her constant reproaches that I was not home that I do not pay attention to the family. And my daughter does not sleep well at night, naughty, she can not do anything. I ended up coming to a house that wasn’t cleaned, no food, and cozy. Afterwards, my spouse informed me that she regretted dropping out. So she wanted to continue her studies. She was getting pennies at work. It is clear that she was not happy there. Besides, she wanted to go out in public, not to sit around the clock with a child. Only her ideas shocked me. Among other things, my wife offered to move in with her mother, so she could help take care of her daughter.
I don’t remember such a case, when a man who had his own apartment moved into a tiny apartment in a khrushchevka to his mother-in-law’s house. By the way, my relationship with her is strained. She is of the opinion that I am not a worthy match for her daughter. I put forward a counter proposal – to take a nanny, and myself to work and educate. Only she would not. What was I supposed to do? Nothing could affect my wife. Her opinion could not change. She was going to her mother.
One day I came home from work and there was no one home. I immediately sensed that this breakup smelled like loneliness. I stood in the middle of the apartment not knowing what to do. While I was gone, my spouse and her mother had moved absolutely everything out of the dwelling. Including the baby’s crib. My daughter was only 2 years old at the time. She was still very young and probably had a hard time understanding why she was being taken away from her family and divorced from her daddy. My wife wanted to let me know that I meant nothing to her. I decided to get a divorce. The apartment would have to be divided – that was understandable. I missed my daughter.
My wife decided to make a life for herself and she moved to another country. She wanted to rest and think about everything, to change her surroundings. After three years I distanced myself from my former family. I was not allowed to see my daughter. Every time I asked to see her I was refused. And after those years my wife told me that I wasn’t paying attention to my child. That I had abandoned her. My ex-wife’s career got better, but she wasn’t interested in anything but work.
It took me a long time to get over the divorce and the parting with my daughter. And after that I met a simple and kind girl with whom we had much in common. I married her. My current wife is from a simple family in the country. She knows how to make a home cozy. And after so many years I was able to understand what family warmth, affection, understanding means. We did not create accounts on social networks. We have a complete understanding.
I come home where I am welcomed, where I am expected, surrounded by care. When sometimes I see photos of my ex-wife or daughter, I don’t feel much regret. It wasn’t my fault. My wife made the decision for both of us, ruined the family and deprived my daughter of her father. Now the years have passed, they have twisted the events of years past and the daughter shows no desire to communicate with me. But it is not my fault.
The conclusion that can be drawn after this is as follows: There’s no need to try to glue together what’s broken. It will not work. Move on.
