I and my spouse decided to divorce a long time ago, six years have passed since then and I have long forgotten about him. He found a new wife and his woman has already had several children with him, but I have nothing in my personal life at all, I can’t even find a man.
You may ask: What is the reason for all this? I’ll tell you that my daughter doesn’t like any of the men I bring to my house. When I divorced my husband, my daughter chose me and now it’s just the two of us. Since we started living together, I’ve been afraid to talk about men or even hint that I want to bring a man into our home. She doesn’t want any stranger living in the house at all and is very afraid of it. Because she doesn’t want to have a daddy.
My daughter recently turned fourteen and she knows that I might be having an affair with some man. But she has decided to forbid me to have an affair with them in order to preempt that moment. Sometimes I feel like she is my mother and I am her daughter who started dating a boy and is afraid to tell her about it.
I have been in a relationship with a man for about two years and we are very similar in personality. We get along all the time. I would like to marry him and start a life together. But my daughter is against it and I am afraid to tell her, because I know what kind of scandal she can give me later.
When I did decide to bring him home, my daughter did everything to make my man quickly leave our house. It was obvious that she was disgusted with him and did not want to communicate with him. When she poured juice into his glass during dinner, she spilled it and got her clothes dirty, and then she said it was an accident. Later she couldn’t help herself and told him everything she thought about him, and I just stood back and blushed, because it was such a shame…
At this point it is completely unclear what to do to get my daughter to accept him. I wouldn’t want to end the relationship with him just because my daughter didn’t like him. But if you look at it from her side, I do not want to hurt my daughter, because then she would have to live in discomfort until at least her eighteenth birthday.
Now I am at a complete standstill, and there are absolutely no options for solving this problem. I try to communicate with her about this every day. I think if she understands that there is nothing wrong with it, maybe she will accept it someday. But that “someday” is definitely not going to happen anytime soon…
