“-Where is your mother? – She said to wait for her here, but she still hasn’t come back.”

People ran whoever was going where. Some jumped on the train, some waited for it to arrive. A little girl looked at the passengers at a loss and whispered: “Mommy, where are you?”

One man came up to the little girl, gave her a pie and asked:
– Whose are you, beautiful?
– Mama’s…
– Do you have a name?
– I do! Barbara.
– Where’s your mother?
– She said to wait for her here, but she hasn’t come back yet.

There was a note sticking out of the girl’s pocket. The man took it out and read it in his mind, “Since you are reading this, you are a good man. My daughter’s name is Barbara. She was born on June 22, 2002. I give up my daughter voluntarily. You can adopt her or put her in an orphanage. Forgive me. All kinds of things happen in life.”

The man took off his hat and scratched the back of his head. Together with the girl they went to the police station.

For sixteen years now, Barbara has lived alone. She goes to college and works part-time to keep afloat. No one ever adopted her-she spent her entire childhood in an orphanage. All those years, the poor girl dreamed of finding her mother. She wasn’t angry at her mother, she just wanted to look her in the eye. A friend once advised her to contact the “Wait for Me” program. The idea seemed silly to Barbara at first, but then she realized she had nothing to lose.

All that was left to do was to wait for the application. And literally six months later she got a call from the project and was invited to the shoot. Barbara was jumping to the ceiling with happiness, because she hoped that the founders of the program found her mother.

A few months later Barbara went to the capital. Her best friend decided to support her friend and went with her.

For Barbara the whole broadcast passed like a fog – she was eagerly awaiting the outcome of this story. She was wondering who responded to her application. And then the host said:
– We invite Kevin.

A 10-year-old boy came on stage and said he was her brother. His mom was telling him that he had a little sister, Barbara, but she gave her up to an orphanage.

– Who did you come to this project with? – The presenter asked.
– With my grandmother. My mother died last year.

The grandmother came into the studio. She hugged Barbara and whispered:
– Forgive me, my child. I will never leave you again!
