My daughter got pregnant when she was 15 years old. She hid her pregnancy for a long time. So my husband and I found out when our daughter was five months pregnant. Of course, an abortion was out of the question. We decided to have the baby.
We never found out who the father of our daughter’s baby was. My daughter said they had only been dating for three months and then they broke up. She didn’t even know exactly how old he was.
– Maybe 17, maybe 18. Well, maybe 19! – Our daughter answered us indefinitely.
My husband and I were, of course, shocked by the news that our daughter was pregnant. We knew it was going to be very difficult for us. And our daughter was telling everyone that she really wanted to have a baby, wanted to be a mom.
Four months later our daughter gave birth to a wonderful baby boy: healthy and strong. Except that the birth was very difficult, and my daughter was recovering from the birth for four months. Of course, my daughter would not have been able to cope without my help, so I quit my job and looked after my daughter and grandson.
Then, as my daughter got stronger, she didn’t even want to go near the baby. She slept peacefully at night, but she wouldn’t even go near the baby during the day. I did everything for her. I scolded my daughter for not helping me. And then my daughter told me:
– “I can see that you love your grandson. So adopt him and his daddy! I’ll be a sister to him. I don’t want to be a mom, I want to go out with my girlfriends, go to the disco! I want to have fun!
I thought my daughter had postpartum depression. But, it turned out she wasn’t. She just doesn’t love her baby at all. She says all kinds of mean things to her own son. How could she do that?
In the end, my husband and I decided not to adopt the child, but we did get custody of him. My daughter became uncontrollable. She wouldn’t listen to us at all. She would go out at night and only come back early in the morning. She didn’t take care of her son at all.
That’s how we lived for several years. We already thought that nothing would change. But after two years, Nightfall somehow matured and wised up. During those two years, the boy changed a lot: he grew up, learned to walk and talk. He is a very smiling and cheerful little boy.
He is so happy when she comes home: he runs to her, hugs her and tells her something. And his daughter’s heart couldn’t take it: she became a wonderful mother. Now she spends all her free time with her son. She constantly hugs and kisses him. She also often says:
– How happy I am that I have a son! He is the most precious thing in my life! Now I will not give him away to anyone!
My husband and I are very happy that our family is finally at peace.
