– You’re the wife, I get it. So listen to me. You and I have met, and not a word to Karl!

How do I put up with this and what do I do? Personally, I am no longer able to tolerate such antics.

My spouse’s behavior has been beyond impudence for a long time now. He lives like a lodger: I do all the housework, plus he leaves and comes whenever he wants. Tonight the kids were asleep when Carl came home. We exchanged a few words about plans for tomorrow, and he went into the kitchen for dinner.

Tomorrow I planned to take my youngest son to the dentist. Carl promised to take care of it, arguing that I needed to go to that part of town. I asked if he was okay, and he just shook his head and was afraid to look in his eyes.

He ate dinner and went to the bathroom, and left his phone on the kitchen table. Suddenly it rings, I looked – “Anna. I couldn’t stand it and pressed the button. I asked, “Who is this?” And from there with such a sneer: “You must be the spouse.”
– Who are you,” I asked.

And she brazenly so:
– You’re the wife, I get it. So listen to me. Consider us acquainted, but not a word to Carl! Understand? Otherwise you never see him again.

I did not have time to answer as my husband came out of the bathroom, and I hung up. Abruptly turning to him, I threw the phone on the table:
– Do you have any idea who that was just now?

He grabbed my chin with his hand painfully and threw it right in my eyes:
– That’s none of your business!

Then my husband went to bed, and I sat in the kitchen till morning, crying. I didn’t want to go to the kids’ room or my husband’s bedroom.
I don’t know what to do and I have no one to consult…
