If someone had told me before I got married that I would live like this, I would have thought twice before marrying my husband. My husband and I were separated before we got married, but after the wedding reception was over, it all came out. I was dreaming of going to the sea with my family, and so I started saving on everything, I can’t even remember the last time I bought anything for myself, as I only wear the things I bought before I was pregnant. My spouse and I have already started packing for a trip when his mother started complaining that she was offered a last minute trip, but her husband told her no, but a week later she told her son that her refrigerator was broken and the repairman said it couldn’t be repaired. The husband took all the money and gave it to his mother so she could buy the appliances she needed. His action threw me into shock, because I really understood that we now have no money for this trip. But that was not the worst part. The worst thing was that three days after this incident, I found out that my parent had bought a vacation trip to Egypt.
After I learned this news, I was very hurt, well, can you be so selfish with respect to their own children and grandchildren? How could she even have the conscience to fool her son and take money from him? Maybe I was mean, but I made my spouse a condition: either we are his family and our needs take priority, or his mother, but in that case, let him live with her!
