In her fifty years Julia has never vacationed at a resort. However, her female ailments took her seriously, she even went to the hospital, and then she was given a voucher. When she came home from work in the evening, she told her husband that she was going to a sanatorium.
– Are you going to the spas because you are bored with me? – shouted David.
– Are you out of your mind, I need to improve their health.
– You’ve always got a headache for me, but you’ll get well and start looking at men.
– I’m going to a sanatorium, not to spas, but for treatment.
– It’s the same thing, all women go there like moths to the fire.
– Don’t blame me for nothing. If you want, we can go together.
– Don’t I have other things to worry about?
– Then stop yelling at me. I’m not going on vacation, I’m going for treatment.
– Yes, but don’t get cured! – My husband answered.
After this phrase, Julia sat down on the sofa and burst into tears.
No matter what, the woman still went to the sanatorium. Her husband put her on the train with a displeased face. So as not to quarrel with her husband, the woman spent all evenings in her room and agreed with him: “Maybe in fact David is jealous of me, loves me, so he worries.”
Julia was put in a room with a woman of her age. Her neighbor was a perky woman and immediately set out to teach Julia the ropes:
– It’s at the dance you can meet an interesting man, and therefore you should go there without fail.
– Stop it, I’m here for treatment, I have women’s problems.
– They treat both women’s and men’s problems here. – Yulia’s neighbor replied.
– I’m not a man, I’m post-surgical, I need treatment.
– I have a husband too, I came here to take a break from him. I met Mark recently, we went for a drink together, we went for a walk in the park. And you urgently need to meet someone and get the rest you’re supposed to get thirty-three pleasures.
– No, I can’t do that, I need to heal, why should I meet anybody?
– “Do as you like,” said Maria. – Of course, you were wrong to make a recluse out of yourself.
Yulia tried to think about Maria’s words for a long time. She remembered her husband’s words about cheating at the resorts, and decided that she would not do it. Julia decided that she would follow all the doctor’s recommendations and not allow the thought of cheating. In contrast to Julia, Maria did not waste any time and had fun from the heart. Julia liked the fact that she did not have to do the dishes and cook food, and she relentlessly repeated this to her roommate.
– At least you understood that. – Maria laughed.
Julia called her husband every day and reported on everything. Two weeks flew by like that. But just before she left, David brought her to tears again, so she did not have time to tell him when she was coming home.
– Go to hell,” Julia thought to herself. – Well, don’t meet him, I’ll take a cab myself.
When she reached the door of the apartment, she thought about the fact that her husband was still asleep. David was, in fact, asleep, only not alone. Next to him on the bed sniffled a redheaded lady about forty years old. Julka took and pulled the blanket off the lovebirds, and they sleepy eyes stared at the mistress of the apartment.
– Are you back already? – said the sleepy husband, as his girlfriend quickly slipped out of the matrimonial bedroom.
Julka jumped on her spouse with her fists, and then gathered up all the bedding and threw it off the balcony.
– Why do you make people laugh, you idiot?
– If you say one more word, you’ll follow him. – she said to her husband.
Then David crawled at his wife’s feet for a long time, even involved his daughter in the solution of marital conflict, but Julia remained adamant. David realized that he had gone too far, but it was impossible to get anything back, because it seemed that his train had left for good and was unlikely to ever come back!
