– Of course it did! Even after the third grandson I asked you to stop breeding. But you do not listen to a wise woman! I gave you a package of condoms for the New Year, so you start to protect yourself, you’re still at it! – grumbled the relative.
Jeanne remembered how her mother-in-law gave her a huge pack of condoms on New Year’s Eve. It was just the birthday of her eldest son, so the parent hinted to the young couple that it was time to stop.
– We heard you, but you can’t argue with nature, – the daughter-in-law answered quite calmly.
– Are you trying to be funny? Then deal with your children yourself, I’m not going to help you anymore…
– And you’re not actually…” There was a ringing tone on the phone, Jeanne didn’t have time to finish.
The girl threw the phone on the bed, smiled and stroked her stomach, which so far was completely flat. The couple was expecting a fourth baby, this is what annoyed Tatyana Andreevna. The girl could not understand why the mother of her beloved was so nervous.
Her mother-in-law had never taken care of her grandchildren or helped the young couple financially. She could come see the little ones once a month at most. She only brings presents on holidays. Jeanne did not like it, but she kept quiet all the time. My mother-in-law is not a poor woman, she could have bought her grandchildren some candy, but apparently she had no desire. The daughter-in-law keeps her discontent to herself, she does not even tell her husband anything. Her children are dressed and fed, and that is the most important thing.
Maxim brings home a good salary and Zhanna tries to earn extra money at home. When her small business began to bring in some decent money, she even hired a nanny so the children did not distract her. The helper plays with them and walks with them while their mother works.
They have a very nice family, but it is Tatyana Andreevna’s aggression that spoils all this idyll. She was not attracted to her daughter-in-law from the very beginning, and when her grandchildren came one after another she became angry with her.
The first time Tatyana did not accept her third granddaughter, she insisted on an abortion. Over time stuck by heart to the little girl. Just all the conflicts subsided, so my daughter-in-law found out about the fourth pregnancy. They had not planned to have a fourth baby so soon, but it happened that way. God had sent a child, so they would be able to raise it on its feet.
The happy news did not please the treacherous relative very much. Zhanna is sure that her mother-in-law is worried that her son will stop helping her. Maxim constantly supplies his parent with money, so she is nervous. When the fourth child is born, the expenses will increase, and her shop will be closed.
Jeanne is not against her husband helping his mother, but not to the detriment of the children. They still have enough money, so the wife encourages Maksim’s good deeds. He has already treated her mother’s teeth, and took her to the sea, and paid for cosmetic repairs in her apartment.
If Zhanna is right and her mother-in-law is worried about her financial situation, it will only get worse with time. Mentoring and lamentations of the relative will drive the pregnant daughter-in-law to psychosis.
