Lyosha sat in the corner and wept bitterly. He couldn’t understand what he had done wrong. Why had his mom and dad abandoned him and taken him to an orphanage? After all, Lesha had always loved them very much and always obeyed his parents.
His mother abandoned him when he was still in the maternity home. After that Natasha and Sasha adopted him. They had no children of their own. So they took the baby from the orphanage. After the trial, Natasha came up to the boy and told him that he would now live in an orphanage. Lyosha was crying, calling for his mommy, but she just turned around and left. The boy was only five years old and he was betrayed by the people he trusted and loved so much. He was betrayed twice: the first time by his birth mother, and now by his adoptive parents.
The judge who rendered the judgment stood by and watched everything. And then she walked up to the woman from the orphanage and said she was going to adopt the boy. It just broke her heart to see the child betrayed by the people he trusted and loved so much.
A female judge named Katerina was able to quickly process the necessary paperwork. And she soon took Lyosha out of the orphanage.
She immediately began calling him very affectionately “Leshenka” and the boy soon forgot his former parents and became very attached to Katerina. Years went by. Lyosha did very well at school. He graduated from high school with a gold medal, went to medical school. And when he graduated, he was invited to work in a good clinic. And then one day a man came to see him, whom he immediately recognized. It was Alexander, his first foster father. He told Alexei that his wife had died in childbirth, the baby was stillborn. And he started drinking heavily after that. Then he met Svetlana, and she helped him get out of a long binge and persuaded him to go to treatment.
That’s how he got to see Alexei. Even though Alexei was young, he remembered how badly the man had treated him. But he remembered the Hippocratic oath and still helped Alexander. Fate very much punished Sasha and Natasha. After all, everyone knows that orphans should not be offended. Alexei acted very wisely: he did not take revenge on Alexander.
