One day, when Zeus was just a kitten, he got stuck in between the bars of Sam’s kennel. When Catanzarite found him there and helped free him, it was clear that Zeus had fallen in love with Sam at first sight.
“They have an amazing relationship,” said Catanzarite. “Zeus is so confident now and loves to lay on top of Sam or hang out next to her while she sleeps… I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Zeus would lay on the bed next to Sam’s old collar, refusing to leave it.
“It was touching,” Catanzarite said of her brother discovering Zeus’ behavior. “He got a new dog and named him after my cat because he knew how much we loved him.”
