The current shelter is run solely by Milan and his team of volunteers. The shelter relies on donations to keep running, but the cost of food, medicine, and other supplies necessary for the animals often exceeds what they can afford. Your gift will help support this vital work and provide much-needed aid to these animals in need.
The shelter is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and it’s located in the village of Rumska, about an hour south of Belgrade.
One day, Milan was out on a routine rescue mission when he came across an animal who had been severely injured. The poor creature was barely clinging to life, and there seemed to be little that could be done to save it. Nevertheless, Milan refused to give up on the animal and did everything in his power to nurse it back to health.
Miraculously, the animal made a full recovery under Milan’s care! Nowadays, this once-injured creature is living a happy and healthy life with its new family – thanks entirely to the compassion of one man: Milan Animal Rescue.
