The adorable footage was filmed by a woman named Jackie, who owns both the cat and dog in the video. The animals have been friends for years, and their close bond is definitely on display in this latest clip. In it, you can see the little kitty gently nudging its sleeping friend with its nose before batting at it playfully with its paw. Eventually, the pooch wakes up and starts to wag its tail wildly in response to all of the affection from his furry pal. It’s impossible not to smile while watching them interact!
While some pet owners may be hesitant about introducing a new animal into their home, cats and dogs can actually get along quite well if given proper time to adjust.
If you already have a canine companion living in your house but are thinking of adding a feline friend as well, make sure that they are introduced gradually over an extended period of time so that each animal has plenty of opportunity to sniff each other out and become comfortable around one another under supervision (preferably outdoors). And don’t forget – always reward good behavior with treats or positive reinforcement so that everyone stays happy!
