There’s something special about rescue animals. Maybe it’s because they know they’ve been given a second chance at life, or maybe it’s just their adorable personalities that make us fall in love with them instantly.
Whatever the reason may be, one thing is for sure: Rescue dogs make the best companions! Just ask reporter Erica Buddington and her dog Goose, who fell head-over-heels in love with each other when Erica visited a shelter to do a story on adoptable pets.
The pair have been inseparable ever since, and Goose has even become something of a local celebrity in Buffalo, New York! Everyone who knows him loves his sweet personality and cheerful attitude…including Erica herself.
In the beginning there was a dog that was mistreated and unloved. His name was Max, and he spent his days roaming the streets of Detroit looking for food. He had been kicked, beaten, and left to die numerous times by cruel owners, but each time he somehow managed to survive. One day though, Max ran into an elderly woman who took him in and gave him a loving home. She fed him every day, played with him constantly, and treated him like her own son. The change in environment allowed Max to finally heal from all of the trauma he had experienced in his past life. And before long he became one of the happiest dogs on Earth!
The reporter was touched by the display of affection and decided he would take the dog home. And that is how he got his new companion, a furry friend for life.
The cameraman caught the tear-jerking moment as the reporter falls in love with this new furry friend. The two companions walked away from the scene hand-in-hand, bonded for life.
