The bear poked him with its snout a couple of times, before Bete woke up and started screaming. The surprised creature quickly ran away into the woods. In hindsight, Matt says he’s “grateful it wasn’t a more aggressive animal like a grizzly or something. Bears can be very dangerous when provoked”.
Dawn described the incredible moment her husband was touched by a black bear as “a once in a lifetime experience”.
This is the cutest story ever! I’m so happy that Matt was able to take a break by the pool without any scary encounters.
