When this dog stayed by his human best friend’s side during a difficult time, it was heartwarming.
Peyton was recently diagnosed with leukemia and needs to be in the hospital for treatment. Seeing her little boy so sick has been incredibly hard on Peyton’s mom, but Dash is always by his side, keeping him company and making sure he knows he’s not alone. This furry friend is a true hero!
“It just goes to show that sometimes the biggest symbols of love and friendship are not always dogs or people, but animals that we often take for granted,” she writes.
The mother’s post has since gone viral on Facebook, with over 9 million shares and 370,000 likes.
After the photo of Peyton and Dash hugging went viral, Smith set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for the animal shelter where they adopted Dash. The account has already raised over $1,500!
