The man in the video, who has not been identified, stopped his car and walked over to help. He lifted up the calf and carried it back to its mom on the other side of the road. The reunited family then calmly wandered off into the woods together.
“I had to do something,” the Good Samaritan told The Dodo. “The cars were just inches away from hitting him.”
So he got out of his car and walked over to the calf, scaring it back towards its mother. After a few more minutes of coaxing, finally both animals made it safely to the other side!
The best way to deal with this kind if situation is by slowly and calmly walking backwards while talking in a soft voice. And that’s what the young men did, until they finally got the animals safely back into the forest.
