In what’s been called a “true act of heroism,” four Oklahoma teens are being credited with saving their 90-year-old neighbor from her burning home. According to local reports, the teens were playing in the neighborhood when they noticed smoke and flames coming from next door. Without hesitating, they ran over to help their elderly neighbor out of the house — even though she was reluctant to leave her belongings behind. Thanks to their quick thinking and bravery, no one was injured in the fire.

Luckily, her grandson Logan was staying at her house that night and when he heard the commotion, he came into Catherine’s room and found her lying on the floor. He took his grandmother outside to safety where she received medical attention for minor burns.
When they got inside, Nick saw a man lying on the ground and immediately went to help. Seth grabbed a fire extinguisher from behind the counter and started spraying it at the flames. One of their friends called 911 again and gave them an update on what was happening.
The three other guys then showed up and helped get the man out of the store. They carried him outside and waited for paramedics to arrive. The man was treated for smoke inhalation, but he’s expected to be okay.

The 14-year-old said he has always been interested in law enforcement and plans to pursue a career in the field.
“We are so grateful for the heroic actions of Brandon and Hunter, who risked their own safety to help save my mom. We’re also thankful for the outpouring of support from our family, friends, and community. Thank you all!”
