But the days turned into weeks, and Tita still hadn’t shown up. One afternoon, when her sister was playing in the backyard, she heard a faint meow coming from under the porch – it was Tita! She had been hiding there all this time, scared that she would be punished for running away. Her family was so happy to see her again; they forgave her for causing them such pain and welcomed her back with open arms.
The little girl was overjoyed, and without further ado, set off to the school – fortunately it wasn’t too far away – to bring her cat back home!
The dad was really relieved and happy to see his daughter safe. They went back home together and hugged each other tight, knowing that everything was going to be okay from now on.
