This is an amazing story of love and devotion. It’s so touching to see the lengths this boy was willing to go through just to make sure his beloved puppy was safe and happy. The bond between them is truly special, and it’s wonderful that they have each other.
After reading the note attached to the box, they found out that the dog’s name was “Benji” and he had been given away because his family could no longer afford to take care of him. The staffers at the shelter were moved by Benji’s story and decided to keep him safe until a new home can be found for him.
Since being posted, the post has been shared over 18,000 times and counting. People are calling Andrés an “angel” and saying things like “what a kind soul!” We couldn’t agree more. This boy is definitely something special!
The shelter workers were heartbroken when they read the note, but at least the dog was now safe. They named him Lucky and vowed to find him a loving home where he would be treated with kindness and respect.
I was going to give him away because I didn’t have enough time for a dog, but then I realized how much he’d be alone. So instead I’m leaving him at the shelter where someone will adopt him and love him always.
